|
Anders Julius Appeltofft bought in 1836 an old half-timbered house at Stora Torg in Halmstad, Sweden, and founded his grocery business and a brewery. It was called Appeltoffska Bryggeriet. The first ten years he made beer according to the Swedish brewing tradition, so called "Svensköl". Svensköl was a sweet kind of beer - low on alcohol. The Krönlein family has had total ownership over the company since the 1920´s. The name was changed in 1996 to Krönleins Bryggeri. |
