Abbey from 1950. In the autumn of 1954 the monks who worked in the Abbey herb garden decided to make a batch of mint jelly. In 2010 they became interested in brewing beer. On December 10, 2013 the abbey was certified by the International Trappist Association to become the first Trappist brewery in the United States and the first outside Europe. The first beers was brewed in 2014. |
