The history of the Witnica Brewery began in 1848. Ernst Ferdinand Handke came to Witnica and learned the profession of a brewer in the village administrator's brewery in Łagów. In 1856 he bought the brewery from the Feuerherm family. Over the years he expanded and modernized it, functioning under the name Stern Brau.

April 1992 was Browar Witnica established.
