Kuchlbauer
Abensberg, Germany |
||
Brewery and hotel. The "Kuchlbauer" has one of the oldest brewing rights in the world. As early as 1300 the head office of the brewery in Abensberg received the brewing rights of the Count von Abensberg. In 1903 the Horsch family acquired the “Zum Kuchlbauer” brewery. The brewery has had its name since 1751: The owner of the property at that time supplied the Bishop of Regensburg with groceries as "Kuchlpaur". More than 100 years ago, the "Kuchlbauer" also included agriculture, hotels and restaurants. The brewery is still in family hands in the 9th generation. |
