In 1887, Archduke Franz Ferdinand d’Este purchased Konopiště with all its business operations from the indebted Franz Eugen, Prince of Lobkowicz.

In 1992, a new brand, Ferdinand, appeared on the market, referring to the original founder of the brewery (František Ferdinand d’Este). Since 1993, the Benešov Brewery, spol. s.r.o. company has been the owner of the Benešov brewery for many years.
